How can I get a refund of my Sleeper ticket?

Since they’re such great value, we can’t offer refunds on Advance tickets - but you can change them before travel for a fee.

For other tickets we split the fare in two – your rail journey and your cabin charge (shown below) – to work out how much we can refund.

  • Solo berth - £70
  • Twin berth - £45 per person

  • The amount of your cabin charge that we can refund depends on how much notice you give us:

    Time of Cancellation

    Refund available

Up to 4pm on the day before travel*

    75% of your cabin charge

After 4pm on the day before travel*

    50% of your cabin charge

    After departure

    No refund

    * Departures between midnight and 2.29 AM are treated as having left the day before.

We then deduct a £10 admin fee from your rail journey and the total is what we can refund to you.
